Project Description

Dr. Henkel received her Ph.D. in ecology and evolutionary biology at Tulane University. She holds an M.S. in biology from the University of New Orleans and a B.A. in English from Stony Brook University. Her dissertation research investigated how environmental changes and habitat degradation are impacting the coastal habitats of the Gulf of Mexico and the effects these changes are having on bird populations that migrate through them.
