Project Description

The Louisiana Trustees Implementation Group Restoration (LA TIG) Plan & Environmental Assessment Plan #2 was written to provide restoration projects to provide and enhance recreational opportunities in Louisiana. Funds were reallocated from the Marine Fisheries Enhancement, Research and Science Center to fund the projects included in this plan. The LA TIG released a draft restoration plan in December 2017 for a suite of recreational use projects, including the Lake Charles Science Center, Statewide Artificial Reef Improvements, Elmer’s Island Access Project, and Island Road Fishing Piers at Pointe-Aux Chenes Wildlife Management Area.
