Project Description

This two-part project minimizes disturbances to nesting females, eggs and hatchlings, with the aim of increasing the number of hatchlings produced on the beaches for the next five to ten years. It eliminates light pollution (which can disorient hatchlings away from the ocean) by replacing lighting fixtures, and reduces interaction with predators. It also increases response capacity for assisting injured turtles.
