Project Description

Monitoring recreationally and commercially important reef and estuarine species of interest in area waters of Alabama through fishery independent and dependent surveys will provide essential information for incorporation into single species and ecosystem models for assessing stock status and sustainability of the resources. Projects will also incorporate habitat characterization through side scanning of natural and man-made structures, benthic water quality monitoring of Mobile Bay and acoustic tracking of tagged fish species in area waters of Alabama.
