Project Description

Dr. Charles-Ayinde was born in Trinidad and received her Ph.D. in public health from the University of Florida. She earned a B.S. and M.S. in biology at Florida A&M University and Purdue University, respectively. Dr. Charles-Ayinde’s graduate research assessed seafood safety following the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Her research discerned seafood consumption patterns of residents of coastal communities along the northern Gulf of Mexico.
