Project Description

The primary purpose of the project is to restore the lake's water quality, improve the circulation of dissolved oxygen to support and increase aquatic life, and improve the aesthetic qualities of the lake for the benefit of the surrounding environment, community, and visitors. Improved stormwater control around the lake is also desired. RESTORE objectives addressed include ecosystem restoration, economic development, and tourism promotion. Activities include removing accumulated sediment from the lake, improving storm water capabilities and construction of amenities designed to preserve and enhance the lake.
