Project Description

Provide the pre-construction data collection, wave and current analysis, biological assessment, engineering design, and environmental permitting to prepare for the future construction of approximately 2 miles of living shorelines along Salt Lake and Redfish Lake adjacent to Carancahua Bay and Matagorda Bay in Matagorda Co., Texas (Figure 1). Construction will provide protection and restoration to the mouth of Carancahua Bay and will directly protect 1,020 acres of salt marsh, oysters, seagrass, and shallow water habitat complex.
